Central Florida Nonprofit, Kairos Adventures, Named Finalist in National Contest By Land Rover and CHASE

Kairos is in the running to win a custom Land Rover Defender to help power their mission to individuals with varying abilities and their families.

Imagine you just won a new custom Land Rover Defender and $25,000 to spend. What's the first thing you would do? For Heather Subbert, founder of Kairos Adventures, a Central Florida-based organization empowering people with varying abilities, the answer is simple: Pick up some friends and do good in the community!

Kairos has been named a finalist in the third annual “Defender Service Awards” presented by CHASE. This prestigious award embraces the spirit of heroism and recognizes organizations that embody it.

The Land Rover Defender Service Awards will present six organizations with a fully customized Defender 130 vehicle and $25,000 to further their respective missions. Kairos Adventures is thrilled to be among the finalists and is excited about the opportunity to make an even greater impact in their community.

Located in Sanford, Florida, Kairos offers innovative programs in the arts, including music, drama, dance, martial arts, culinary arts and video production. They also provide local exploration opportunities and community service projects, allowing individuals to discover and develop their unique God-given potential and purpose.

And what would Kairos do with a new Land Rover? Kairos' founder Heather Subbert explains, "It's big enough that we could pile an entire group into one vehicle with a wheelchair or a walker because of the cargo space and go out into the world and do things like visiting nursing homes, taking flowers to seniors who are housebound, go to food banks and package food for families in need, serve it animals shelters. All of these things are things that we have been doing, but we have to take turns and one more vehicle will give us one more group out there impacting the world for good!"
